Jeanne and I met nearly 6 years ago when both her spouse and mine were stationed in California. I had been doing photography for 3 years (mostly family photography) but I had just taken the plunge and started completely focusing on boudoir. Jeanne was one of my very first clients.
Although being a military spouse isn’t always my favorite, something I do love is that even though we change duty stations frequently, I often end up moving to places former clients end up going to, as well. Jeanne was one of those clients. I can’t tell you how grateful I am that I had the opportunity to work with her again. Over the last 6 years, I’ve done so much growing and learning and although her previous images are gorgeous, I was so happy I got to provide her with images and an experience that was even more beautiful and luxurious. Being able to compare the two sessions was truly a gift. It’s so amazing when you yourself get to see how much your art evolves.
Like myself, Jeanne’s life has changed a lot since our previous session. Boudoir is often viewed as just a photography session to many who have never had the experience. Anyone who has done a session with me will tell you, it is so much more than that. Many of my clients come to me looking for just a gift and find out that this is so much more than that. After their session, they realize that this is something that will genuinely change their view of themselves. Most of the time clients come to me not knowing this will be their experience in the end. After their session though, many share with me that this ended up being so much more for them.
Jeanne came to me for exactly this reason. She knew how she felt after her previous session and was so excited to see we were both in the DMV area and she trusted me to provide her with this experience again. It seemed like this was a much needed reprieve for her. We got to catch up, chat about how our lives had changed and where we were at now. It was so wonderful to get to see her and chat. Jeanne walked away from her session with a boost of confidence, courage and two absolutely stunning pieces of art to display in her home.
Thank you, Jeanne, for trusting me again with this very intimate experience. I am so happy we got to catch up and I am thrilled you loved your images. Scroll below to find more from Jeanne’s session. Use the “Book Now” button to inquire about a session with ALP.
xoxo and with so much love,
